The QR code doesn't work
When a QR code cannot be scanned in 4planning, there can be several causes. Below are the most common problems and solutions.
The QR code is hard to see
A QR code has to be clearly visible to scan properly.
- Increase the device's screen brightness.
- Make sure the QR code is fully visible.
- Avoid reflections or bright sunlight.
A damaged or blurry screen
A damaged screen or a low resolution can make scanning difficult.
- Have the visitor open the QR code again.
- Use a different device if needed.
A screenshot of the ticket
A screenshot sometimes works less well than the original ticket.
- Ask the visitor to open the ticket or membership card directly in the app or browser.
The scanner's camera is not working properly
Check that the camera is working.
- Clean the lens.
- Check the camera settings.
- Give permission to use the camera in the browser or app.
Poor internet connection
The scanner needs a stable internet connection.
- Check the network.
- Use mobile data as a backup.
Technical problem
A temporary outage can affect scanning.
- Refresh the scanner.

Checking another way
When scanning does not work, you can also check participants manually.
- Search by name or email address.
