Paying your child's membership fee

Bijgewerkt op

If you have children linked to your account, you handle their membership fee straight from your own account. Your child does not have to do anything and does not need their own bank account for it.

What you can arrange

  • Paying by iDEAL on your child's behalf — you see your child's outstanding instalments alongside your own and pay them the same way.
  • Signing a SEPA mandate on your child's behalf — a so-called parent mandate. You sign the mandate, and your child's membership fee is then collected automatically from your account.

Step 1: Open your membership fee page

  1. Log in with your own account.
  2. Go to Membership fees. Alongside your own instalments you see those of your linked children.

Step 2: Pay or authorise

  1. Choose your child's instalment.
  2. Pay by iDEAL, or activate the mandate if collection is by SEPA direct debit.

Notifications come to you

All emails and push messages about your child's membership fee come to you as the parent: the pre-notice for a collection, a payment confirmation, and reminders when something is outstanding. Your child does not receive them.

Frequently asked questions

  • My child is not listed. Then the account has not yet been linked to yours as a family member. Ask your association to make the link.
  • Can both parents pay? Yes, if both parents are linked to the child, both see the instalments and both receive the messages.
  • Can I use direct debit for one child and iDEAL for another? Yes, the payment method is set per subscription, so per child.
  • My child is now an adult. Ask your association to move the subscription to your child's own account; after that they handle their own membership fee.
