Managing your family
Does your association have family accounts enabled, and are there children linked to your account? Then you'll see a Family tab in My account. There, you handle things on your child's behalf, without the child having to log in themselves.
What you see for each child
For each linked child, you see:
- the groups the child belongs to,
- dietary preferences and allergies,
- the date of birth.
You can update these details directly from this tab — handy if, for example, a new allergy has come up.
What you can arrange on your child's behalf
- Pay membership fees or sign a SEPA mandate on your child's behalf — see Paying your child's membership fee.
- Sign up for or cancel an event. Your child appears as a separate option to tick alongside yourself when signing up for events.
- Update profile details, as described above.
All emails and push notifications relating to your child (membership fee reminders, confirmations) come to you. Your child receives nothing themselves, because they don't have their own account.
If you are the linked child yourself
Were you given an account as a child yourself, and do you now have your own login? Then you'll see My parents/guardians in the same tab — the names of the people who (jointly) manage your account. This overview is for information only; you can't change the link here yourself.
Expanding your family
You can't link children to your account yourself — your association's administrator does that. Don't see the Family tab yet, or is a child missing? Ask your administrator to make the link.
Frequently asked questions
- I don't see the Family tab. Either the family accounts feature isn't active at your association, or no children have been linked to your account yet.
- Can both parents see and change the same details? Yes, if both parents are linked to the child, both have the same insight and the same options.
- My child is now old enough for their own login. Ask your administrator to change your child's account type to a member with their own login.
