Giving a SEPA mandate
If you pay your membership fee by direct debit, you sign a mandate once. After that it runs by itself: you do not have to do anything per instalment.
Step 1: Open your membership fee page
- Log in to 4planning.
- Go to Membership fees. This shows what is outstanding and which payment method has been set for you.
Step 2: Activate the mandate
- Click the button to activate your mandate. If you have not given one yet, you also receive an email about it.
- You are taken to a secure payment environment where you confirm your account.
- Complete the confirmation. You are then returned to 4planning.
From that moment the mandate is active and your membership fee is collected automatically.
What happens next?
Before every collection you receive a pre-notice, by default around fourteen days in advance. It states which amount will be collected and when. So you always know beforehand what will leave your account.
Good to know
- As long as there is no active mandate, your instalment stays outstanding and you will receive reminders about it.
- Every collection carries a € 1.00 service charge on top of the membership fee.
- You can withdraw a mandate through your bank. If you do, let your association know, otherwise the next collections will fail.
Frequently asked questions
- When is the amount collected? About two weeks after the pre-notice you receive by email. The exact amount and date are in that email.
- My direct debit failed — what now? You receive an email with a payment link to pay the instalment after all. Then check whether your mandate is still active.
- Can I switch off the pre-notice? Yes, under My account → notifications at the "membership fees" toggle. Reminders for a late or failed payment will still come through.
