Creating a ticket scanner
In 4planning you can create ticket scanners to register visitors quickly and securely at events. A ticket scanner checks access and gives you a real-time overview of who is present.
Step 1: Go to the event
- Open the event in question.
- Choose Edit event.
Step 2: Open ticket scanners
- Scroll down to the Ticket scanners section.
- Click or tap + New scanner.
Step 3: Set up the scanner
Fill in the scanner's details:
- Scanner name* – Give the scanner a clear name, for example entrance, VIP or backstage.
- Permitted tickets – Select which tickets may be checked with this scanner.
That way you can use several scanners with different access rights.
Step 4: Save
Save the scanner. It is now available to scan tickets during the event.
Tips for effective use
- Use clear names per entrance or location.
- Create separate scanners for different ticket types.
- Test the scanner before the event.
Good to know
- You can create several scanners per event.
- For each scanner you decide which tickets are valid.
- This helps with access control and safety.
