Creating a ticket

In 4planning you can add tickets to an event. That lets you arrange access, registration and any payments. This article explains how to create tickets.

Step 1: Go to the event

  1. Open the event in question.
  2. Choose Edit event.

Step 2: Enable tickets

  1. Scroll down to the question Does this event have tickets?.
  2. Select Yes.

Once enabled, you can add tickets to the event.

Step 3: Add a ticket

Fill in the ticket's details:

  • Name – The name of the ticket.
  • Price – The ticket price (free or paid).
  • Capacity – The maximum number of tickets available.
  • Sales start – When sales begin.
  • Sales end – When sales stop.

Setting visibility

You can decide who can see and buy the ticket.

  • Public – Anyone can see the ticket.
  • All members – Only members of the organisation.
  • Specific groups – Only the selected groups.

Setting restrictions

You can add extra conditions:

  • Maximum tickets per user – Leave empty for unlimited.
  • Minimum age.
  • Maximum age.

Several tickets

You can create several ticket types within one event, for example:

  • Early bird.
  • Standard ticket.
  • VIP or members.

That gives you flexibility in access and pricing.

Step 4: Save

Save the event. The tickets are now available.

Tips for effective use

  • Use clear names for tickets.
  • Set a capacity to prevent overbooking.
  • Use different ticket types for different audiences.

  • Tickets are linked to the event.
  • You can change tickets later.
  • Visibility determines who has access to the sale.
