Deactivating a ticket scanner
In 4planning you can easily deactivate a ticket scanner when it may no longer be used, temporarily or permanently. This is useful when a device is lost, when staff change, or when an entrance is no longer active.
Step 1: Go to the event
- Open the event in question.
- Choose Edit event.
Step 2: Deactivate the scanner
- Scroll down to the Ticket scanners section.
- Click Deactivate next to the scanner you want to disable.
When should you deactivate a scanner?
- When a device is lost or stolen.
- When an entrance is no longer in use.
- When staff or volunteers change.
Tips for effective use
- Deactivate scanners immediately when there is a security risk.
- Check regularly which scanners are active.
- Use clear names so you keep an overview.
Good to know
- Deactivating has no effect on tickets already scanned.
- You can reactivate a scanner later.
