Creating a member or user
Klik om te laden — er wordt pas dan verbinding met YouTube gemaaktIn 4planning you can easily add a new member or user to your organisation. That gives them access to the right groups, communication and information. This article walks you through creating a user step by step.
Step 1: Go to Members
- Log in to your 4planning environment.
- Scroll to Organisation in the menu.
- Click Members.
Step 2: Create a user
- Click Create user in the top right.
You now see the form for adding a new member or user.
Step 3: Fill in personal details
Complete the required fields:
- First name*
- Last name*
- Email address*
You can optionally add:
- Phone number
- Address details
- Date of birth (dd-mm-yyyy)
- Company name
Step 4: Set member and administrator status
Indicate whether this person:
- Is a member of the organisation
- Is an administrator (this member gets the same rights as you, except for organisation settings).
- You can then indicate whether this member is a super administrator, which grants them the same rights as you.
Administrators have additional rights within the organisation.
Step 5: Select groups
Decide which groups the user is added to.
- Select one or more groups.
- You can also set whether the user is a group administrator here.
The user automatically gains access to communication and information within these groups.
Step 6: Set the default language
Choose the user's default language. Available options include:
- Nederlands
- English
- Deutsch
- Or your own dialect or preferred language.
The user will see the environment, notifications and communication in this language.
Step 7: Send an invitation email
Choose whether to send an invitation email.
- Yes – The user immediately receives an email to activate their account.
- No – You can do this later, per user or in bulk.
Step 8: Save the user
- Check all the details.
- Click Save.
The user is added to the organisation.
Tips for effective use
- Add new members to the right groups straight away.
- Use clear group structures to keep things organised.
- Always check the email address to avoid activation problems.
Good to know
- The user receives an invitation only if you choose to send one.
- The default language determines how the environment is displayed.
- Administrators have extensive rights within the organisation.
