You can change an existing poll when you want to adjust the question, the answer options or the audience. This article explains how to edit a poll step by step.

Step 1: Go to Polls

  1. Log in to your 4planning environment.
  2. Click Communication in the menu.
  3. Then click Polls.

Step 2: Open the poll

  1. Find the poll you want to change.
  2. Click the poll to open it.

Step 3: Edit the poll

  1. Click Edit poll.

You are now in the screen where you can change the poll.

Step 4: Change the question

You can change the poll question if needed.

Step 5: Manage answer options

You can change existing answer options or add new ones.

  • Change existing answers when the wording needs updating.
  • Add new answer options when extra choices are needed.

The poll stays readable when you use clear, concise answer options.

Step 6: Manage languages

You can edit the poll in several languages.

  • Only the main language is required.
  • Other languages are optional.

Users automatically see the poll in the language set in their profile.

Step 7: Adjust visibility

You can decide which groups may see and answer the poll.

  • All members
  • Specific groups

Select the right groups if needed.

Step 8: Save your changes

  1. Check all the settings.
  2. Click Save.

The poll is updated immediately.

  • Check regularly whether the answer options are still current.
  • Only add relevant choices to keep things readable.
  • Use clear, short wording.

  • Only the poll's main language is required.
  • Changes are immediately visible to users.
