What Planny can do for your club

Updated on

Planny is the AI assistant in 4planning. For a club it is useful above all because it already knows your data: nothing to import, nothing to explain. Working with clients, quotes and projects? Then see What Planny can do for your business.

Who may do what

Planny works within the rights of whoever is talking to it. An ordinary member gets their own details; an administrator also gets club-wide overviews and may have Planny create things. That is not a per-person setting — it follows your role. See What Planny can and cannot see.

What every member can ask

  • My agendaWhen is my next training?, Where do I need to be on Saturday?
  • My matches and refereeing dutiesWhen am I refereeing?, Who are we playing?
  • My bar shiftsWhen am I on bar duty?
  • My membership feeHave I paid yet?, What does my membership cost?
  • My ticketsWhich tickets did I buy?
  • My groups and pointsWhich groups am I in?, How many points do I have?
  • My children — with a family account: When does my daughter play?, Has her fee been paid?
  • Signing up or cancellingCancel me for Thursday's training.

What administrators get on top

  • Keeping trackWhich matches still have no referee?, Who has not done a bar shift this season?, Who has not paid the fee?, Who has not responded to the tournament?
  • Pulling figures — tickets sold, the scoreboard standings, who has checked in, birthdays this month.
  • Having things created — an event, a news item, a poll, a survey, a match or a group. Planny creates it as a draft: you see it back in the app and decide whether it goes out.
  • Assigning referees — Planny can propose an assignment and apply it.

What Planny does not do

  • Nothing goes out without you. It sends no emails, push messages or invoices. What it creates is a draft; publishing or sending stays a human click.
  • No deleting members and no changing roles.
  • No collecting money. It can look up fees, not charge them.
  • Nothing outside your environment. It never looks at another club's data.

Frequently asked questions

  • Do I need to know exactly what something is called? No. Just say what you mean; it finds the right event or team itself. See Asking Planny good questions.
  • Does this work if we only use a few features? Yes. Planny only knows the features you have switched on — it will politely fail to answer about something you do not use rather than guess.
  • Does every question cost credit? Yes, but a short question costs little. See Planny credit.
  • Can I give it a different name? Yes — many clubs turn it into their own mascot. That is in the credit article.
