What can Planny do for you?

Updated on

Planny is 4planning's AI assistant. You open it via the chat icon in the app and simply ask a question, in your own words.

For every member

As a member, you can ask Planny things like:

  • When is the next event, and am I signed up? Planny can also sign you up or cancel directly.
  • News, polls and surveys — show the latest posts or open polls.
  • Do I still have any outstanding membership fees?
  • Where are my tickets, documents or voice notes?
  • When is my next bar shift or match, and what's my referee assignment?
  • How many points do I have on the scoreboard? (this is the points system/scoreboard — something entirely different from the Planny credit below)
  • Questions about your family account: signing a child up for or out of an event, viewing your child's membership fee.
  • Adding or moving cards on a planning board you're a member of.

Extra for administrators and staff

If you have administrator rights, Planny can also do things for you, not just look things up:

  • Create or edit an event, including tickets and recurrence.
  • Post news, start a poll or set up a survey.
  • Create a membership fee plan.
  • Send a notification to (a selection of) your members.
  • Assign referees to a match.
  • Edit cards on a planning board, or archive a board.
  • In the business module: create a customer or quote — Planny can even draft a quote concept with lines and prices based on a description of the job (see Creating a quote with Planny), create a project, or schedule an appointment.

Planny can't look up or create work orders — for that you navigate to Work orders yourself.

What Planny doesn't do

Planny never makes up an answer that doesn't match what's actually in the app, and never carries out anything final unless it logically follows from your request. For a quote or invoice, you always remain the one who checks and sends it.

Frequently asked questions

  • Why does my colleague see different Planny capabilities than I do? What Planny can do depends on your role (member, staff, administrator) and which features are enabled in your environment.
  • Can I turn Planny off completely? Yes, an administrator can disable Planny for the whole environment, or limit it to administrators only.
  • I get a message that Planny isn't available. That could be because a monthly credit limit has been reached — see Planny credit: how it works.
