Visibility of the birthday
Below the Date of birth is the field Birthday on the birthdays page, with three settings:
- Hidden — nobody can see this.
- Day and month — date visible, age hidden.
- Full date — including year and age.
When you use this depends on the Show birthdays setting under Settings › Access & privacy › Visibility:
- If it is set to Member's choice, the member chooses this themselves under My account. Only change it here if they ask you to.
- If it is set to Always (day and month) — the default — the member cannot set it to Hidden themselves and you can. Use that when a member objects to their birthday being shown; they have the right to object (GDPR, right to object).
See also Viewing and celebrating birthdays and Setting the default visibility.

- Click Save at the bottom.
