Checking who can see my personal data
In 4planning you are in control of who can view your personal data. You can set per field whether other members are allowed to see that information. This article explains how to manage it.
Step 1: Go to My account
- Log in to your 4planning environment.
- Open My account.
Step 2: Show or hide details
Go to the Privacy & gegevens tab. Under Who sees what about you each detail has a dropdown.
- Click the dropdown behind the detail you want to change.
- Choose Hidden (or, for your date of birth, Day and month).
For your email address and phone number there is also an in-between setting: Only my connections. Only the members you are connected with see it, and nobody else. That setting only appears if your club uses connections.
Your choice is saved immediately — there is no save button. Other members can then no longer see that detail.
Important
- Administrators can always view this data. So Hidden means: administrators only. They need your contact details for the membership records.
- This setting only applies to other members within your organisation.
Step 3: Show or hide your attendance
- Stay on the Privacy & gegevens tab.
- At Who can view your presence?, set whether your attendance may be visible.
You can choose whether your attendance is:
- Public to other members.
- Visible only to administrators.
Privacy and data protection
The administrators of the SaaS application 4planning.nl, part of 4Software B.V., have no access to the content of affiliated organisations. That means data such as communication, documents and internal information is only accessible within your own organisation.
Tips for effective use
- Check regularly which details are visible to other members.
- Hide sensitive information that other users do not need.
- Adjust your settings when your role or position changes.
Good to know
- You control visibility field by field.
- Administrators always keep access to personal data.
- You can change these settings at any time.
