Planny looks along at your screen

Planny knows which page you are on. Open it while looking at an event and it knows which event — including the date, who was invited and how many people have responded. So you do not have to explain what you are talking about.

The difference in practice

Without looking along you would have to type: "Who has not responded to the summer tournament of 14 June?" Standing on that tournament's page, this is enough:

The same goes for "send a reminder", "copy this to next month" or "how many spots are left?".

Where it works

On the detail pages — anywhere you are looking at one thing:

• an event (and its edit screen)
• a match and a bar shift
• a group, a member and the member directory
• a poll, a survey and a news item
• a recording (voice note) and a planning board
• for businesses: a client, quote, project, product, request or work order

On an overview page it knows which overview you are viewing, but not which item — there you simply name it yourself.

Two things worth knowing

Looking along grants no extra access. If you may see a page, Planny may talk about it. A page you cannot open, you cannot discuss with Planny either. See What Planny can and cannot see.

It moves when you move. Browse on to another match and the conversation continues about that one. Want to return to the previous subject? Just name it.

Frequently asked questions

• Do I have to switch this on? No, it works automatically as soon as Planny is enabled.
• Does it also see what I type into a form? No. It knows which item you are viewing and fetches that item's data from 4planning itself; anything you have not saved yet is unknown to it.
• Why does it not know on a list? On an overview you are looking at dozens of things at once; which one you mean would be a guess. Name it, or open it first.
