Viewing running subscriptions

In 4planning you can easily view and manage all running subscriptions, so you know who has an active membership fee subscription and when the next payment is due.

Where do you find the subscriptions?

1. Go to Finance in the left-hand menu.
2. Click Membership fees.
3. Open the Subscriptions tab.

Here you see an overview of every active and running subscription.

What does the overview show?

For each subscription the key information is shown:

• Member – The user with the subscription.
• Fee plan – The chosen plan.
• Payment method – Automatic direct debit, iDEAL or Outside the app. If it says Direct debit only, the member cannot switch to iDEAL themselves. With an active mandate you also see whose name the account is in.
• Status – Active, paused or cancelled. If a direct debit is missing its mandate, that is shown here in red.
• Next instalment – When the next payment will be collected.

This gives you immediate insight into your organisation's financial position.

Filtering

Above the list there are two filters:

• How they pay shows only the subscriptions on automatic direct debit, iDEAL, outside the app, or with Direct debit only.
• Awaiting mandate shows the direct debit subscriptions whose mandate has not been signed yet. As long as there are such subscriptions, a red notice appears at the top of the page; that notice takes you to this filter.

Pausing a subscription

When a member temporarily does not have to pay, you can pause the subscription.

• Open the subscription in question.
• Choose Pause.

Instalments are temporarily not generated.

Cancelling a subscription

When a member leaves, you can cancel the subscription.

• Open the subscription.
• Choose Cancel.

No new instalments are created.

Tips for effective use

• Review the status of subscriptions regularly.
• Use pausing for temporary situations.
• Keep your administration up to date.

Good to know

• Subscription history is preserved.
• You keep an overview of income.
• You can always adjust subscriptions.
