What happens after an invitation?

Updated on

When you invite a user to your organisation in 4planning, the onboarding process starts automatically. This process helps new members or staff gain access quickly and get to know the environment.

Step 1: Receiving the invitation email

After you send the invitation, the user receives an email with a personal activation link.

  • The user clicks the link to activate their account.
  • This link is unique and secure.

Step 2: Activating the account

The user sets their own password and activates the account.

  • The user gains access to your organisation.
  • The default language and settings are applied.

Step 3: First login

After activation the user lands directly in the environment.

  • The user only sees information that is relevant to them.
  • Groups and rights determine what is visible.

Step 4: Onboarding screens in the app

In the mobile app the user can get a short introduction explaining how 4planning works and what the main features are.

You can customise this onboarding yourself in the settings.

Step 5: Users' first actions

After logging in, users can immediately:

  • View news and updates.
  • Sign up for activities.
  • Reply to messages.
  • Discover groups and documents.

Why this matters
