Editing an event
You can always change an existing event when something changes, such as the date, location, participants or settings. This article explains how to edit an event step by step.

- Log in to your 4planning environment.
- Click Communication in the menu.
- Then click Events.
Step 2: Open the event
- Find the event you want to change in the overview.
- Click the event to open its detail page.
Step 3: Edit the event
- Go to the Admin block on the right.
- Click Edit event.
You are now in the screen where you can change all the event's settings.
Step 4: Change the details
Basics
You can change things like:
- Event name
- Location
- Start date and time
- End date and time
- Arrival time
- Description
Participation and visibility
You can also change participation settings, such as:
- Registration deadline
- Visibility (for example all members or specific groups)
- Selected groups
- Allowing guests
- Limit on guests
- Allowing partners
- Maximum number of participants
Tickets
When the event has tickets, you can change those too. For example:
- Ticket types
- Price
- Number of tickets available
- Availability
Invitations and notifications
You can decide whether participants receive a notification when something changes.
Step 5: Save your changes
- Check all the details.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
The changes are immediately visible to the event's participants.

- Changes may not affect existing registrations.
- After editing, always check the date, location and participants.
- Let participants know when important details change.
