Deleting documents

Step 1: Go to Documents
- Log in to your 4planning environment.
- Go to Documents in the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Open the right folder
Navigate to the folder the document is in.
- Choose the right folder.
- Only members with access to this folder can see the document.
Step 3: Delete the document
- Find the document you want to delete.
- Right-click the file.
You now see two options. Click the bottom one, Delete.
- Rename – Change the document's name.
- Delete – Remove the document from the folder.
Who may delete?
By default only administrators delete. Under Settings › Access & privacy › Documents › Who may delete and manage? you choose Everyone, Administrators or System administrators only. That choice also covers renaming, moving and sharing.
Don't see the Delete option in the menu of a file or folder? Then you don't have that right in this environment. A deleted document cannot be restored, so keep this setting narrow if you can.

- Delete old or duplicate documents.
- Keep folders organised.

- Deleting cannot be undone.
- Access to documents is determined by groups.
- Changes are immediately visible to users with access.
