Checking imported member data

Updated on

After importing members or users via Excel or CSV, it is important to check that all data was transferred correctly. This prevents problems with communication, groups and access.

Check the imported users

After the import you can check that all users were added correctly.

  • Go to Organisation > Members.
  • Check that all users appear in the member list.
  • Check a few random users to catch any mistakes.

Check groups and roles

It is important to check that users were placed in the right groups.

  • Open a user.
  • Check the linked groups.
  • Check that group administrator rights are set correctly.

Check personal details

Check that key details were imported correctly.

  • First and last name.
  • Email address.
  • Contact details.
  • Any other relevant information.

Sending the invitation email later

You can choose not to send an automatic invitation email during the import. This is useful when you want to check the data first.

  • Turn off sending invitations during the import.
  • Check all details and groups.
