A custom app icon for your organisation

With a custom app icon, your members don't see the 4planning logo on their home screen — they see your organisation's own icon instead. A custom app icon is included in the Pro plan and the Business plans. On another plan, you can add it as an add-on for €10 per month. Current plans and prices are on 4planning.nl/prijzen.

The icon only works in the mobile app (iOS and Android), not in the browser.

Step 1: Request the icon

You can't turn on a custom app icon yourself — 4planning adds it to the apps for you.

  1. Email support@4planning.nl with the name of your environment.
  2. Attach your logo, preferably as a square PNG of at least 1024 × 1024 pixels.
  3. Let us know whether you want it as an add-on or want to switch plans.

As an administrator you'll already see the locked icon under My account, tab Display, under Choose your App Icon. It's greyed out with a lock until it's released.

Step 2: Wait until the icon is in the app

The icon has to be built into the apps themselves, so it only becomes available after an app update in the App Store and Google Play. We'll let you know when it's ready. Members need to update the app to the latest version.

Step 3: Choose the icon on your phone

Each member chooses their own icon:

  1. Open the app and go to My account.
  2. Open the Display tab.
  3. Under Choose your App Icon, tap your organisation's icon.

The app switches icons immediately. On an iPhone you'll see a brief system message about it.

Frequently asked questions

Do all members automatically get the new icon? No. Each member chooses it themselves, because the icon applies to the whole phone.

I'm part of several organisations with their own icon. Which one do I get? You choose one. You'll see all your organisations' icons side by side, plus the default 4planning icon.

Can I switch back to the 4planning icon? Yes, choose the 4planning tile.

I don't see an option to choose an app icon. Check that you're using the app rather than the browser, and that the app is up to date. If your organisation doesn't have a custom icon yet, you'll only see the default icon.

Can I change the icon later? Yes, email the new logo to support@4planning.nl. That also requires an app update.
