The points system and scoreboard

Updated on

On Scoreboard you see the ranking of members based on points earned.

Earning points

Click Earn points for an overview of every action that currently earns points at your club, along with how many points each is worth. Which actions these are and how many points they're worth is set by your club itself — so this overview always shows the current situation at your environment.

As soon as you earn points, a brief notification appears on screen.

Viewing the ranking

At the top is a podium with the top 3, followed by a table with the rest of the top 10. If you're not in the top 10 yourself, your own position appears at the bottom of the list, so you always see where you stand.

You can switch between three periods:

  • Total — all points you've ever earned.
  • This year
  • This month

For "This year" and "This month" you also see whether you've risen or fallen compared to the previous period.

Configuring it as an administrator

Go to Settings → Points system to configure, per action:

  • whether the action is on or off,
  • how many points the action is worth (empty = default value),
  • a cooldown in seconds between earning points twice for the same action,
  • a daily and monthly limit,
  • your own texts per language for the title and description members see.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can I award points to a member myself? No, there's currently no feature to manually hand out bonus points — points are only awarded automatically for the configured actions.
  • Can I redeem points for something? No, the points system is purely a ranking; there's no redemption or reward feature.
  • Why do I show 0 points in "This month" while my total is higher? That means you haven't earned any points yet this month — your total remains unaffected.
  • An action I want to configure doesn't show up in the settings. Some actions are linked to another feature (for example "friends of") — if that feature is disabled, the corresponding point action also disappears from the settings and the "Earn points" overview.
